At the end of the course the attendees will be able to:

• Why pronunciation is necessary? Sound symbols, connected speech, intonation and sentence stress.
• Special terminology before starting.
• Rhythm: Sentence stress, Connected Speech, Recognition, Production. The sounds /s/, /z/ and /I/ with present simple third person singular verbs.
• Chart of English Consonant. The stops. Pronunciation of ed- past tenses /t/, /d/ and /id/. Connected speech: Strong and weak form of prepositions.
• Vowels and Diphthongs: Vowels and Symbols. Intonation and Sentence stress. Vowel sounds: /i: /, /ɪ/ ,  /з:/,  /u:/, / ʊ/, / a:/
• Semivowels /r/, /j/ , and /w/ : The sound w. Sentence Stress. Intonation
• Nasal and laterals. The sounds /n/ and /(and ng and /ndz/
• The fricatives and Affricates.  Consonant symbols: Fricatives and affricates symbols.Sound /θ/, /th/, Connected speech: Hearing difference between present perfect and past simple and the different pronunciation of‘s. 
• Pronunciation Activities. Intonation: Definition and reasons for teaching intonation.  Intonation Awareness.  
• Practice The sounds / ʧ/; / ʃ/; /s/. And contrastbetween /u:/ and / ʊ/.  
• Examination.
