SUMILLA:

It is a practical training course for teachers or intending teachers of English as a second or foreign language, designed to give them practice in effective use of classroom English and to extend their teaching skills and techniques, with the aim of helping their students learn how to communicate successfully in English.

Objetivos:

COMPETENCIAS Y CAPACIDADES:

At the end of the course the attendees will be able to:

- To help English teachers become fluent and accurate in the use of the specialized and idiomatic forms of English used when teaching English in the classroom.

- To give teachers practice in language interaction classroom skills.

The language of the classroom: Social, Personal and Organizational uses
Beginning of the lesson.
Checking attendance.
Physical conditions in the classroom.
Getting organized : seating, books, blackboard
Introducing different stages of the lesson.
Using visual aids.
Tape recorders and other electrical equipment.
Dividing the class up: Choral, individual, and teams.
10. Dividing the class up: pairs and groups.
Interruptions: late comers, things lost.
Control and discipline.
Ending the lesson or a stage in the classroom.
